Experiences
Our first mystery box.
Turns out, not knowing was the best part.
The FantasyBox team · 3 October 2026

We assumed the exciting part would be what was inside.
We were wrong. The exciting part started the moment the order confirmation landed — and the realisation that neither of us knew what we'd actually bought.
The box arrived plain and unbranded, which made it even more ridiculous. It sat on the kitchen table looking like a delivery of printer paper while we both pretended to be very busy and very calm.
We made a deal not to open it until the weekend. That lasted until Thursday.
What surprised us most wasn't any particular item. It was the conversation. Opening something together, without having chosen it, takes away the awkward bit — the "so, what do you want?" negotiation. Instead you're both just curious. You laugh. You read the little cards. You decide, together, what tonight is going to be.
That's the bit we'd recommend. Not the box itself, but the permission it gives you to try something you wouldn't have picked.
Turns out, not knowing was the best part.
